Born in London and raised in Tehran within a medical family, Babak is a self-taught visual artist, designer, and storyteller whose creative spirit defied tradition. While medicine was the family’s legacy, Babak’s soul followed another rhythm—one that beat with the energy of colors, stories, and emotional depth. Tragically, his beloved mother lost her battle with breast cancer, a loss that etched a permanent mark on his heart. Her memory became a compass that led him deeper into his creative universe, supported wholeheartedly by his father and two older sisters.
Though he initially pursued medical studies in Europe, Babak’s passion for artistic expression became impossible to suppress. He made a bold decision: he left medicine behind and dedicated himself entirely to visual art. That decision marked a turning point that gave rise to a vibrant, multidimensional career.

Today, Babak Mobasheri is a visionary painter, 2D animator, writer, and film director. He honed his animation craft at the University of the Arts London and has since brought to life a wide range of projects—from animated films and commercials to impactful exhibitions and visual narratives.
